VREDU, Selected as Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation Development Project by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups
VREDU announced on the 24th that it would be selected for the ‘2021 Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation Development Project’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and start developing an MR (mixed reality)-based industrial safety education and training system.
The SME technology innovation development project is a project that supports the R&D (research and development) innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with sales of 2 billion won to less than 70 billion won in stages. Intensive support will be given to fields related to the 4th industrial revolution, ‘resource’ (materials, parts, equipment), and untact (non-face-to-face) items. VREDU was selected as a market expansion project (hosted by Lee Jun System) and received about 80% of research funding from the government for two years.
The task that VREDU applied for this project is ‘MR-based platform for industrial site safety education and business support’. This is a platform that can provide training required for manufacturing in virtual reality in a digital twin environment and prevent various errors that may occur in industrial sites through a simulation environment.
The company said, “It can be widely used not only in production environments such as processes, but also in security-enhanced facilities such as police and prison guards.“
